Clear Street adds Goldman Sachs veteran as Chief Risk Officer

Diversified financial services firm Clear Street has appointed Atul Pawar as Chief Risk Officer, who will join in July after two decades at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently Head of US Prime, Clearing, FCM and Counterparty Risk. 

At Goldman Sachs, Pawar oversaw market and liquidity risk in portfolios across asset classes including equity, commodities, fixed income credit, rates and foreign exchange. Prior to this, Pawar was a member of the firm’s strategies group, where he helped build portfolio analytics and stress tests.  

In his new role, Pawar will oversee Clear Street’s risk management across its institutional and active divisions. 

Clear Street’s institutional division provides securities financing and lending, clearing and settlement, execution, professional clearing and custody, capital introduction and investment banking. Its active division provides products and services to active traders.
