Amundi is giving a more global scope to its Alternative Investment specialised subsidiary with the appointment in its London office of Michael Hart as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Global Head of Business Development.

Laurent Guillet, Chief Executive Officer of Amundi Alternative Investments and Amundi London Branch says: “With more than USD11bn in assets, the Alternative Investments branch of Amundi provides absolute return solutions adapted to today’s markets and enhanced regulation, from managed accounts, alternative funds of funds to a full range of dedicated advisory services. At this point in time of our history, we needed a Global senior hedge fund professional like Michael to raise Amundi’s position as a leading worldwide player in the alternative investment space”.

 
Hart has over twenty years’ experience in the alternative investment space. Previously, he was Global Head of Business Development, Hedge Fund Solutions at Aberdeen Asset Management during which time he was Responsible for developing and implementing the global business strategy of alternative solutions for Aberdeen’s alternative investments with a special focus on Hedge funds solutions.
 
He acquired a broad-based expertise on pension funds for Bfinance investment consultants from 2000 to 2011 where he established and developed the Institutional Pension Fund Business. Prior to that, he worked on institutional and corporate business development at Morley Fund Management in London. Michael spent his early career in institutional business development in New York.
