Arcesium has expanded its integration with MarketAxess to provide hedge funds, institutional asset managers and capital markets firms with improved access to fixed income pricing, liquidity and transaction data across investment and operational workflows.
Announced on 7 October, the integration brings MarketAxess CP+ algorithmic pricing and TraX market data into Arcesium’s Aquata data platform and Opterra operating system, connecting front-, middle- and back-office processes while improving data consistency and accuracy.
MarketAxess CP+ uses artificial intelligence to generate pricing for global credit and interest-rate markets, while TraX provides daily trading volumes and transaction data covering more than 42,000 fixed income instruments. The combined capabilities are designed to support liquidity analysis, price discovery, relative-value assessments and risk management without requiring firms to develop bespoke integrations.
Alex Dobson, senior vice president and head of product at Arcesium, said the integration would allow investment teams to access market intelligence alongside operational data within a single environment, helping them respond more effectively to changing pricing and liquidity conditions.
Ena Gordon, head of data and analytics product at MarketAxess, said the partnership would give clients a reliable source of fixed income trading and operational information as markets become increasingly complex.
The announcement builds on an existing relationship between the companies. Since June 2024, Arcesium has integrated MarketAxess Repo Match into its Opterra platform, enabling clients' repurchase agreement trades to be submitted directly for matching against counterparty confirmations. The process also covers lifecycle events such as rate changes and trade close-outs, supporting automated record updates, faster exception resolution and straight-through processing.
MarketAxess Repo Match connects 127 buy-side and sell-side firms and processes more than $700bn in average daily matched volume.
Arcesium's Opterra platform brings together investment operations across the front, middle and back office, including position management, reporting, accounting, treasury and reconciliation. It serves hedge funds, traditional asset managers, private market funds and capital markets businesses.
