Multi-strategy hedge fund major Balyasny Asset Management has appointed Samuel Donat, the former Global Head of Corporate Technology at Millennium Management, as its new Head of Enterprise Technology, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

As well as his five-year stint with Millennium from 2013 to 2018, Donat's past hedge fund experience includes spending the last seven months as a consultant for Steve Cohen's Point72 Asset Management and a three-year stint as Chief Operating Officer at Stoke Ridge Asset Management.

Donat also spent nearly three years as Chief Operating Officer at bitcoin infrastructure firm New York Digital Investment Group.
