Trifon Natsis, co-founder of global macro hedge fund firm Brevan Howard has relocated to Abu Dhabi as part of the Jersey-based investment manager's plans to expand in the UAE, according to a report by Financial News.
In April, portfolio manager Mitesh Gupta moved to Brevan Howard's new Middle East regional hub, which will also be home to members of the firm's portfolio management, research, trading, risk, operations, client services, business development, compliance and technology teams, according to an unnamed Financial News source.
Brevan Howard will reportedly eventually have around 100 staff based in the UAE capital, which is actively looking to attract more hedge funds, venture capital firms and crypto companies to the city's international financial free zone, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
