Simon Kempton has joined Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) as Managing Director, Global Business Manager for Liquid Alternative Investments and Chief Administrative Officer for Europe.

Simon Kempton has joined Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) as Managing Director, Global Business Manager for Liquid Alternative Investments and Chief Administrative Officer for Europe.

In this newly created role Kempton, who will be based in London and will report jointly to Dean Barr and Robert Case, will coordinate the many activities, including new initiatives of the CAI Liquid businesses as well as work on special projects, including acquisition analysis, new product development initiatives and operational streamlining within CAI liquids.  In his capacity as CAO for Europe, Simon will support Bob Case in overseeing CAI's infrastructure in Europe, including technology, operations and facilities.

Kempton, who received a BSc in Economics from Surrey University and is also a qualified Management Accountant, joins CAI from Deutsche Bank, where he was Chief Operating Officer for the UK asset management business. He has also worked within the investment banking business at both Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.
