The Credit Suisse Liquid Alternative Beta Index (CSLAB), which aims to reflect the performance of the overall hedge fund industry, finished up 0.83 per cent in May.
The Long/Short Equity strategy was the strongest performer, finishing up 1.28 per cent for the month, while the Managed Futures strategy remains the highest performer year-to-date, up 7.81 per cent.
The Credit Suisse Global Strategies Liquid Index (1.00%), the Credit Suisse Managed Futures Liquid Index (0.81%) and the Credit Suisse Event Driven Liquid Index (0.24%) all recorded positive performance while the Credit Suisse Merger Arbitrage Liquid Index was the only strategy to finish the month in negative territory with a return on -0.09%.
