The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) Alternative Investment Product (AIP) service has now passed 2,500 unique clients, including hedge funds and funds of funds, who leverage the service to automate investment processing including post-trade reporting.
According to a press statement, DTCC’s AIP service is "a centralised trading and reporting platform that connects the alternative investments industry to exchange data, securely and efficiently".
The service includes standardised money settlement for orders, distributions and other financial activity. AIP is situated between product providers or issuers and distributors, acting as a transaction processing and trade execution channel.
