Enko Capital, the Africa-focused emerging markets manager, has hired Stuart Kameen as head of marketing and business development.
Kameen, who is based in London, joined in October and will focus on building institutional partnerships for the firm. He joins from Carbon Cap Management, where he was head of marketing and investor relations from April 2022.
He spent almost nine years in investor relations at Brevan Howard, from 2009 to 2018. He later held roles as alternative investments sales and marketing manager at CME Group, and as head of client services for EMEA at Caxton Associates. He began his career at Dresdner Kleinwort, before joining Man Group’s marketing and client services graduate programme.
Kameen is joined by Sabrina Chiang, who has also been hired as associate director of marketing. She will be responsible for business development and capital raising. Chiang joins from macro quant manager Oxford Algorithms, where she was senior business development lead.
Founded in 2008, Enko manages $1.8bn across emerging market debt, private credit and private equity strategies. Its flagship strategy, managed by Alain Nkontchou, runs a macro and relative value absolute return approach across sovereign and corporate debt in Africa, excluding South Africa.
