Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, the $10bn New York-based hedge fund firm founded by Steven Schonfeld, ended the first quarter with a 6.2% gain for its flagship Strategic Partners fund, according to a report by Reuters.
The report cites an unnamed source familiar with the matter as revealing that the firm's Fundamental Equity fund also reported positive performance in the first three months of the year with a 5.9% return.
According to the source, the preference of both funds over the period was boosted by quantitative strategies, tactical trading and Asia-focused bets.
