London-based absolute return investment manager RAB Capital has announced the appointment of Gary Pitts as chief compliance officer.

London-based absolute return investment manager RAB Capital has announced the appointment of Gary Pitts as chief compliance officer. Pitts joins from Brevan Howard Asset Management, where he was head of compliance.

Previously he held various senior regulatory and compliance-related functions, including four years with the Life Assurance and Unit Trust Regulatory Organisation and the Personal Investment Authority, forerunners of the UK's Financial Services Authority, and positions at Threadneedle, Credit Suisse and Henderson.

Pitts sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Securities Compliance and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
