Balyasny Asset Management has added Peter Anderson, previously a Senior Research Scientist at Google, as a Senior AI Researcher to its applied artificial intelligence team, led by Charlie Flanagan, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

Anderson joins the team behind Balyasny's proprietary ChatGPT equivalent, BAM ChatGPT, which was made available to employees last June and is set to be integrated across the firm's tech stack in the future.

According to reports, BAM ChatGPT's goal is to "proactively push relevant information" towards the firm's Portfolio Managers.

At Google, Anderson's developed large-scale generative models that produce language, images and/or actions. At Balyasny, he will be developing "transformative AI models for investing", according to his LinkedIn profile.
