Horizon Trading Solutions has expanded its electronic trading platform to support market making on Kalshi, the CFTC-regulated prediction market, as institutional participation in event-driven trading continues to grow.
The Paris-based provider of electronic trading and algorithmic technology said the new capabilities provide market makers with native connectivity to Kalshi, enabling them to quote, trade and hedge event contracts alongside cash equities and listed derivatives through a single platform.
The enhancement is designed to address the specific requirements of event markets, including rapid repricing, probability-based quoting and cross-venue risk management. Horizon said its platform combines low-latency execution, high message throughput, integrated risk management and continuous 24/7 operation and monitoring to help firms manage liquidity provision and exposure.
“The growth of institutional liquidity is an important milestone in the evolution of event markets,” said Andy Ross, Head of Institutional at Kalshi. “Horizon Trading Solutions’ native connectivity helps professional market makers participate more efficiently and deepen liquidity across Kalshi markets.”
Sylvain Thieullent, CEO of Horizon Trading Solutions, said: “Event-driven markets are becoming increasingly important for institutional market participants. We are enabling market makers to provide liquidity on Kalshi with institutional-grade infrastructure that scales with growing demand while addressing the unique challenges of event contracts, including pricing, risk management and hedging very short-dated exposures.”
The enhanced capabilities are available immediately to both existing and new Horizon Trading Solutions clients.
