IDSI, incorporated in the DIFC, has been formed to provide alternative investment fund and private equity investment administration to DIFC domiciled funds and the global investment community. IDSI is associated with the Investment Data Services Group, based in Cape Town, South Africa. The Group currently provides specialist administration services to over 80 investment funds.

Ian Hamilton, Chairman of IDSI said: 'The rapid growth of regional financial markets, coupled with the operating efficiencies available in Dubai, provide an excellent opportunity for IDS to offer services tailored to the needs of the Middle East markets. Recognising current capacity restrictions in a number of other financial centres, we are also extending our services to fund managers around the world. We shall offer a comprehensive 'turn-key' administration service to fund managers, allowing them to concentrate on investment management.'
