Conifer Securities, a hedge fund service provider and prime broker, has announced that Jon Karis has joined the firm as director of prime brokerage services. 

Conifer Securities, a hedge fund service provider and prime broker, has announced that Jon Karis has joined the firm as director of prime brokerage services. 

Karis was recently a top executive at Morgan Stanley's prime brokerage unit.

'Jon's expertise will help us build a new web-based prime brokerage reporting platform, augmenting the client reporting experience through improved management of counter-party risk associated with establishing new lending partners,' says Richard Del Bello, senior partner of Conifer Securities. In his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Karis focused on sales, client relationships and development of the firm's well-known client centric technology platforms. Most recently he served as an executive director at Morgan Stanley, where he materially contributed to building out a multi-asset class prime brokerage platform. 

Prior to working in the prime brokerage area at Morgan Stanley, Karis spent a year with Lehman Brothers where he worked as a traders assistant on the convertibles trading desk, and four years with ADP.
