Alternative asset manager Man has boosted its UK institutional sales team with the appointment of Tim Fitch as a senior relationship manager.
Fitch reports to Paul Dackombe, head of institutional clients UK, and is responsible for developing relationships with UK institutions including family offices, fund of hedge funds, insurance companies and pension and endowment funds, with the aim of increasing flows into Man’s single manager, multi-manager and affiliated product offerings.
“This appointment is excellent news for the team at Man,” says Dackombe. “Tim’s experience in the alternatives industry and existing relationships in the UK market mean that we are ideally placed to capitalise on the strong pipeline of prospects we are seeing from UK institutions.”
Fitch joins from Axa Investment Managers where he was director of single strategy hedge fund sales with lead responsibility for the direct distribution of the single manager offering to institutional investors, as well as providing specialist product support to the other distribution channels.
Prior to Axa, Fitch was senior marketer in Europe at KBC Alternative Investment Management and marketing director at GMP Asset Management, a European event driven single manager.
