Marex has appointed Charlie Woodcock to its outsourced trading team in Hong Kong, further strengthening its execution capabilities across Asia. Woodcock joins from Outset Global where he provided execution and trading services to clients across Asia.
The appointment comes as demand for outsourced trading continues to grow globally. Alongside increasing adoption by investment managers, hedge funds and family offices across Asia, Marex is also seeing growing demand from firms outside the region seeking local expertise and execution support when trading Asian markets.
Woodcok brings more than 20 years of experience across institutional trading and global markets. Prior to his three years tenure a Outset Global, he held trading roles at Zaaba Capital, Asiya Investments and Nighthawk Capital, alongside earlier positions at Merrill Lynch and Louis Capital Markets.
Woodcock's experience spans buy-side, sell-side and outsourced trading environments, covering equities, derivatives, FX and financing products across Asia's major markets. Throughout his career, he has supported a broad range of investment strategies, giving him deep expertise in market structure, liquidity and execution across the region.
