Millennium Management has added veteran fixed-income executive Nick Howard as a senior adviser in London, expanding its roster of experienced industry figures as the multi-strategy hedge fund continues to strengthen its UK operation, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Howard brings almost four decades of experience across central banking, investment banking and hedge funds. He began his career at the Federal Reserve before holding senior positions at JPMorgan, Salomon Brothers and Barclays.
He subsequently joined Rokos Capital Management, where he served as chief executive and chief risk officer during his tenure at the hedge fund.
Howard left Rokos in 2023 for Santander, taking on a dual role covering senior relationship management for markets as well as economics and fixed-income, currencies and commodities strategy.
During his time at Santander, Howard was involved in building out the bank's senior economics and markets capabilities, including the recruitment of Antonio Garcia Pascual from the International Monetary Fund as global head of economics for Santander's corporate and investment banking division.
Howard departed Santander in late July and joined Millennium in early September, according to the UK Financial Conduct Authority's register.
