Millennium have recruited Ravi Vinda, a former Citigroup short-term interest rate trader who joined rival Citadel last year, according to a report by eFinancialCareers.
Vinda joined Citadel in July 2025 after four years at Brevan Howard, having previously spent three years on Citi's London short-term interest rate trading (STIRT) desk.
He began his trading career in 2014 after graduating from the London School of Economics. Millennium will be his third hedge fund employer since leaving Citi in 2021.
The move comes amid continued competition among multi-manager hedge funds for macro trading talent, with London-based recruiters reporting a shrinking pool of experienced rates traders as firms increasingly recruit from investment banks and rival funds.
Vinda is expected to take on a portfolio management role at Millennium, although the size of his allocation has not been confirmed.
The recruitment also follows a challenging period for some macro hedge funds, with rising interest rates and concerns over French government debt contributing to market volatility.
