Sholto Maconochie, Head of Australia Real Estate – Equities Research at Jefferies, is set make a switch to the buy-side, having agreed to join Alex Wallis's new investment 'pod' at Millennium Management, according to a report by the Australian Financial Review.

Maconochie is set to join the $62.2bn multi-strategy major after seeing out his notice period. He will work with Wallis, who agreed to join Millennium in March 2023 but has only just taken up his new role after a period of gardening leave.

Maconochie was a member of the CLSA real estate team tapped by Jefferies back in 2019. Prior to CLSA, where he spent over seven years, he served as a Manager for deals and corporate advisory at PwC.
