Hawai’i-based holding company Orthogonal Thinker has announced plans to launch a tokenised hedge fund, alongside the continued expansion of its artificial intelligence-powered LIF3 ecosystem and broader digital asset initiatives.
The fund will be domiciled in Hawai’i and is designed to meet institutional standards, with a mandate covering validator-node infrastructure, structured digital-asset treasuries, and governance-driven strategies. Tokenisation is expected to enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and investor access.
Orthogonal is leveraging its position as the largest shareholder of Cloud3 Ventures to scale validator-node operations and support the LIF3 token economy. Its AI initiatives focus on retrieval-augmented intelligence, predictive analytics, and secure data management, forming the backbone of the company’s expanding digital ecosystem.
Founded in 2016, Orthogonal has built a diversified portfolio spanning digital assets, consumer wellness, plant medicine, psychedelics, and cannabis. Key milestones include its early investment in Firefly Aerospace, which has now gone public, participation in BNC’s $500m digital asset transaction, the expansion of Odyssey Elixir into Costco, advancement of psychedelic nano-compound intellectual property, and early backing of Meadow, a US-based cannabis compliance and POS platform.
CEO David Nikzad described the launch of the tokenized hedge fund as a “natural evolution” of nearly a decade of ecosystem building. He added that recent work in New York advancing digital asset treasury deals and sponsoring Tier 1 tokens into public markets demonstrates the company’s commitment to bridging Hawai’i’s culture of wellness with Wall Street’s capital markets.
