PineBridge Investments (PineBridge), a private, global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing, has hired Kirk Sweeney as Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Sweeney will be responsible for PineBridge’s Asia Pacific business and will join the firm’s Management Committee. He will report directly to PineBridge’s CEO, Greg Ehret, who is based in New York. Sweeney has lived in Asia for more than three decades, holding various leadership positions across the region at some of the world’s most prestigious investment managers.
PineBridge has a strong heritage in Asia with an on-the-ground presence and investment history stretching back more than 30 years. Sweeney’s appointment marks an exciting chapter of growth for PineBridge’s Asia Pacific business, which has a strong presence in markets including Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, as well as exploring opportunities in high growth markets such as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Sweeney replaces Anthony Fasso who left the firm in December 2021.
