Quant hedge fund Qube Research & Technologies has continued its recent hiring spree with the appointment of Simon Bannister as Quantitative Technology Director, from the London Stock Exchange Group, where he served as Infrastucture Programme Director.

Prior to LSEG, Bannister spent four years at quant trading firm G-Research, where he led re-platforming of its infrastructure on the cloud and was part of the firm's extended leadership team.

Earlier in his career he worked mainly at investment banks including VP roles at both NatWest and Merrill Lynch, and serving as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. He also worked at Deutsche Bank, initially joining as Global Head of Emerging Technologies before being appointed as Global Head of Core Engineering.
