SANNE has promoted Sean Murray to Managing Director, Alternative Assets for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Based in SANNE’s Luxembourg office, Murray (pictured), has been with SANNE for just over a year. In his new position he will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the EMEA Alternative Assets platform, which includes Private Equity, Private Debt & Capital Markets, Real Estate and Hedge.
Murray had joined the firm from Orangefield in Luxembourg, where he was Managing Director and a member of the global alternative investments management board. He also sat on the board and management team of Vistra Luxembourg after Orangefield began a merger with Vistra Group in June 2016. Murray is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry.
Martin Schnaier, SANNE’s Chief Commercial Officer, says: “Now is a very exciting time for SANNE. We have experienced a number of years of strong growth and since listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2015, the EMEA region has continued to be a key focus for us and will remain so in future. Adding someone of Sean’s experience and capability to lead the EMEA Alternatives business demonstrates our strength in this region and furthers our position within the industry.”
“Sean’s expertise in multiple asset classes, grouped with his strong leadership skills have already been of huge benefit for SANNE. I would like to congratulate Sean on this achievement and look forward to seeing him continue adding value to his team and the wider business.”
