SkyBridge Capital, the investment firm founded by Anthony Scaramucci, is to launch a new fund focused on investments in Web3 and the cryptocurrency space, according to a report by BusinessInsider.
The news comes hot on the heals of a revelation earlier this week that SkyBridge has suspended withdrawals from Legion Strategies, a $230 million fund of funds, following a steep fall in both stocks and cryptocurrencies.
The new venture and growth-style equity fund, which is reportedly set to be announced officially at SkyBridge's annual Salt conference on 12 September, will look to make investments in Web3 fintechs and late-stage cryptocurrency and digital assets firms.
