State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), has appointed Yacine Bechikh as senior hedge fund manager in the hedge fund strategies team.

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), has appointed Yacine Bechikh as senior hedge fund manager in the hedge fund strategies team.

Bechikh, who will be based in London and report to Chris Woods, director of hedge fund portfolio management, will work on the development of derivative-based, volatility and correlation arbitrage strategies.

Prior to joining SsgA, Bechikh worked as an independent consultant for three years, specialising in managing equity/credit correlation arbitrage hedge fund strategies. Before that he held positions as head of equity derivatives research and head of fixed income and foreign exchange quantitative strategy at BNP Paribas.
