Balyasny has lost one of its Staff Software Engineers to Stripe with Bogdan Cozmaciuc choosing to swap the multi-strategy hedge fund in London for the payments giant in Bucharest, Romania, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

Cozmaciuc, who has joined Stripe as a Software Engineer, spent two years at Balyasny, where he designed trading applications and also worked on "a state-of-the-art NLP platform, which aims to extract alpha from various text based datasets", according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to Balyasny, Cozmaciuc spent six years at Man Group, initially joining as a Quantitative Developer before taking up an engineering role after four years.
