Shatz who joined Citadel in June 2020, previously spent 11-years in credit trading at JPMorgan before leaving to launch his own fund Column Park Asset Management in April 2014, which he ran for six years.
At Citadel, Shatz worked in the global credit team run by Pablo Salame, the former co-head of securities at Goldman Sachs.
Last week Bloomberg reported that Marshall Wace is planning to charge clients a new "compensation surcharge" as the firm looks to hire and retain top talent in an increasingly competitive recruitment market.
