TT International has launched the TT EM Macro Strategy, a hedge fund designed to capitalise on macro-driven opportunities across emerging markets (EM), with a focus on interest rates, foreign exchange, sovereign debt, and corporate credit, according to a report by Fund Selector Asia.
The new strategy, led by Jean-Charles Sambor, TT’s head of emerging markets debt, seeks to exploit top-down macro catalysts to generate alpha on both long and short positions. According to the firm, the approach will target niche EM macro alpha streams often overlooked by traditional global macro managers.
This launch follows TT’s expansion into EM investing last year with the introduction of three distinct strategies: TT EM Debt Strategy; TT EM Hard Currency Debt Strategy; and TT Emerging Markets Long/Short Equity Strategy.
“Having launched our first EM strategy in 2011, this latest macro strategy completes our EM product suite, positioning TT as a leading cross-asset investment house in emerging markets,” said Eric Mackay, managing director at TT International.
