London-based institutional broker Voltrex has hired Alan Moore as a consultant for its online foreign exchange platform, reporting to managing director Graham Farrow. Moore was previously with State Street Bank where he was responsible for its London foreign exchange business and was also managing director of Global Link and FX Connect, the bank's multibank e-commerce portal.

Says Farrow: 'We are pleased to have someone of Alan's experience as we continue to see exponential growth of our online foreign exchange platform as a corporate treasury tool, putting the client in control of their own transactions and supplier payments.'

Voltrex FX, the foreign exchange arm of Voltrex, provides a foreign exchange service with competitive exchange rates, international money transfers and online technology. It was established to assist foreign exchange transactions for private individuals and businesses as well as trading of global futures and options and pan-European OTC derivative.

Voltrex was created in 2001 by market professionals to provide specialist broking services to the financial industry. Its senior management team consists of experienced professionals previously with international investment banks and the firm now employs more than 30 professionals at its City of London offices.
