Convergex Group has launched a Stock Loan Program, a service that gives hedge funds and other clients access to the securities they need to borrow for their short-sell requirements.
In instances where a prime broker may not be the optimal source for clients to borrow stock, Convergex’s Stock Loan Program provides an alternate solution.
Leveraging its relationships with stock loan counterparties, the firm sources hard-to-borrow securities that clients seek.
It provide clients with a single point of contact for a growing network of stock loan counterparties including prime, institutional and retail brokers and custodial banks.
The programme allows clients to borrow securities while maintaining their anonymity. Additionally, clients that use the service benefit from competitive rates and possible price improvements that Convergex seeks on their behalf.
