UMB Fund Services, a subsidiary of UMB Financial, has been selected to provide registered hedge fund services to Gottex Fund Management.
UMB Fund Services has developed and enhanced its service offering for registered hedge funds over the past several years.
The offering combines UMB Fund Services’ capabilities in the registered fund space with the unregistered hedge fund expertise of its alternative investments division, JD Clark.
Gottex is introducing a new line of registered alternative investment products that will be offered to the general public on US retail distribution platforms beginning in December.
UMB Fund Services has been selected to provide back-office services for Gottex’s two new registered funds: Gottex Multi-Asset Endowment Fund and Gottex Multi-Alternatives Fund. Each of these two master funds has two feeder funds (I and II) that are available to investors.
“We conducted a search of service providers across the US, large and small, and we found UMB to be very strong in the multi-asset fund of funds space,” says Bill Landes, senior investment partner and portfolio manager for Gottex’s global multi-asset business. “In addition to UMB’s experience and capabilities in this niche, the people are highly competent, intelligent and insightful.UMB is the kind of firm we want to partner with.”
“We are very pleased that Gottex has chosen UMB Fund Services and JD Clark to service its new line of registered products,” says John Zader, chief executive officer of UMB Fund Services. “Our capabilities and expertise in this specialised area will be an excellent fit with their needs, and we look forward to working and growing together.”
