Sandy McIntyre has been appointed to the position of chief executive officer at Sentry Investments. McIntyre, who joined the firm in 2000, will also continue in his current role as President.
John F Driscoll, Sentry's Chairman and Director, says: "Sandy exemplifies all the qualities an excellent CEO should have - vision, leadership, talent and persistence. He has taken Sentry to new heights since he joined the company 12 years ago, including building our investment team to the point that it is recognised as one of the best in the industry. I have the utmost confidence that Sandy will lead us into continued growth and success."
As well as Mcintyre’s appointment, Sentry has also appointed Dennis Mitchell as chief investment officer, overseeing the investment management team. Mitchell will also continue in his current role as senior portfolio manager. Mitchell, who joined Sentry in 2005, has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. He is lead manager of Sentry REIT Fund and Sentry Infrastructure Fund.
McIntyre says: "Dennis embodies the kind of talent we look for here at Sentry: hardworking, highly energetic, remarkably intelligent and an extremely analytic mind. We at Sentry are proud to have him guide our outstanding investment team as our new chief investment officer."
