South Florida Hedge Fund Managers, a regional alliance dedicated to informing and uniting the hedge fund community, is hosting a forum on the impact of changes in clearing over-the-counter products. 

The event will be held on 8 October 2009 at the Conrad Hotel in Miami.
 
"The landscape is changing and preparing for upcoming regulations on clearing OTC derivatives will be critical," says Michael Corcelli, principal, Alexander Alternative and SFHFM.org. "This forum offers presentations from several distinguished speakers who will cover a wide variety of topics from pending regulations to portfolio diversification."

Will Acworth, editor of Futures Industry, a magazine published by the Futures Industry Association, will discuss the range of OTC clearing services available from clearinghouses in the US, Europe and Asia and the degree to which these services have attracted interest from market participants.
