Yorkville Advisors, the investment manager of YA Global Investments, has announced the opening of its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

Yorkville Advisors, the investment manager of YA Global Investments, has announced the opening of its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

The investment fund has been operating in Asia Pacific since 2003, with more than 30 financings and investments completed in over 20 companies.

The establishment of the Hong Kong office is intended to strengthen the fund's presence in the region.

Philip Ho, head of international capital markets at Yorkville Advisors, says: 'The opening of the Hong Kong office demonstrates our commitment in Asia Pacific. We intend to continue to finance and invest in growth-oriented companies in Australia and Asia, and believe the sustained growth in the region will deliver satisfactory returns for our investments.'

In addition to investment origination and execution, the Hong Kong office will spearhead the fund's capital raising efforts in Asia.

Headed by Anthony Chan, managing director, the office will be initially staffed with four investment professionals.

The office has plans to expand to about ten investment professionals over the next 12 months in line with business growth.

Besides its newly opened Hong Kong office, Yorkville Advisors currently operates from its offices in Jersey City in the US, London and joint ventures in Italy, Greece, Japan and Israel.
