Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of insurance group Aviva, has appointed Marcus Shepherd as real estate finance director.
Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of insurance group Aviva, has appointed Marcus Shepherd as real estate finance director.

Shepherd joins Aviva Investors from Valad Property Group where he was most recently chief financial officer for Europe. Based in London, he will report to Ian Womack (photo), chief executive for real estate.

'Marcus will play a critical role in building the increasingly global requirements of our finance function,' Womack says. 'He brings a strong track record in real estate finance and will be responsible for driving our financial planning, management and reporting strategy, as well as our banking relationships.'

Shepherd will join Aviva Investors in January next year.
