Fortis has appointed Jacques Bofferding as Regional Managing Director Prime Fund Solutions of the Western Hemisphere.

Bofferding succeeds Roger Hanson, who recently informed Fortis of his decision to resign with effect from 1 March 2006, to pursue an independent funds-related venture.

In addition to his current role as Deputy CEO of Prime Fund Solutions and member of the Management Team of Global Securities & Fund Solutions within Fortis Merchant Banking, Bofferding will now also be responsible for the activities of Prime Fund Solutions in the US and the Caribbean. He will relocate from Luxembourg to New York in due course.
