Frederic Codet has joined Galena Asset Management as a senior trader to co-manage the Galena Energy Fund.
Codet has over 15 years' experience in capital markets, of which 12 years was spent in commodities.
Prior to joining Galena, he was Citigroup managing director and European head of oil, oil products, agriculture and exotic products trading. In that capacity, he managed a team of 25 traders in Europe, Asia and North America.
Codet started his career at BNP in Sydney in technology and corporate investment bank in 1992.
Claude Lixi, the lead portfolio manager of Galena Energy Fund, says: 'This is a strategic hire for our Energy Fund. Frederic brings a great track record in commodity and specifically energy markets that can be directly utilised in the investment process.'
